Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: April 26, 2026
Vibesies gives you a real Linux server with full sudo. That's powerful — and it comes with responsibility.
This policy describes what you can't do. Violations result in suspension or termination with no refund.
Forbidden Content
You may not host, send, store, or generate any of the following from a Vibesies container:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — we are required by law to report this to NCMEC
- Content that incites violence, harassment, or terrorism
- Phishing pages, fake login portals, or credential-harvesting sites
- Malware, ransomware, viruses, exploit kits, or other malicious software intended for distribution
- Pirated content (DMCA-protected material distributed without rights)
- Counterfeit goods or fraud
Forbidden Activities
You may not use your container to:
- Mine cryptocurrency. Even briefly. CPU mining, GPU mining, anything labeled "miner."
- Run open relays for SMTP, DNS, or proxy traffic.
- Send unsolicited bulk email (spam). See "Email" below for specifics.
- Scan, probe, or attack other systems on the internet — port scans, vulnerability
scans, brute-force attempts. Authorized pen-testing of your own systems is permitted with written
confirmation.
- Participate in DDoS attacks, including running tools that contribute to one.
- Host a botnet command-and-control, or any automated threat infrastructure.
- Bypass our resource isolation — escape your container, access another tenant's data,
or attempt to access the host metadata service.
- Reverse-engineer Vibesies infrastructure beyond your own container.
Email
Outbound email from your container goes through our SES relay. The following rules apply:
- You may only send to recipients you have a legitimate reason to email — existing customers, opted-in
subscribers, transactional confirmations, etc.
- You may not buy, scrape, or rent email lists.
- You may not run cold-outreach campaigns to addresses you obtained without consent.
- You must include a working unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- You must promptly remove anyone who requests removal.
- If your bounce rate exceeds 5% or your complaint rate exceeds 0.1% in a 24-hour window, your sending
will be auto-suspended pending review.
- Per-tier daily caps apply: Starter 100/day, Builder 500/day, Pro 5,000/day, Studio 20,000/day.
Above these, talk to us.
Resource Use
- You may use 100% of your tier's allocated resources continuously — that's what you're paying for.
- You may not attempt to exceed your tier's hard limits via syscall tricks, concurrency exploits, or
kernel bugs.
- Sustained outbound bandwidth above your tier's daily allowance is billed at the posted overage rate.
- If a process in your container threatens host stability — fork bomb, runaway memory, broken
cgroup behavior — we may pause your container and email you. We won't delete your data.
Adult content
Legal adult content is permitted with the following requirements:
- You verify all participants are adults (18+) and have records of that verification.
- You comply with 2257 record-keeping requirements (US) or your local equivalent.
- You don't host content depicting non-consensual scenarios or minors.
If your traffic profile triggers AWS or upstream-provider abuse review, we may need to move you to a
Dedicated tier where the costs of compliance can be passed through.
Reporting Abuse
If you believe content on a Vibesies container violates this policy or applicable law, email
abuse@vibesies.com with the URL, a description of the
violation, and any supporting evidence. We respond to verified reports within 1 business day.
Enforcement
We enforce this policy at our discretion, weighted by severity:
- First-time minor violations typically get a written warning and 24 hours to remedy.
- Repeat or material violations result in suspension. Your data is preserved.
- Severe violations (CSAM, malware distribution, fraud, attacks on others) result
in immediate termination, data deletion, and where required, reporting to law enforcement.
